Welcome to the Large Animal Veterinary Rounds from the
Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan

The educational objective of this site and the corresponding published version of Large Animal Veterinary Rounds is to provide interested physicians throughout Canada and around the world with a unique window on some of the most current information and discussion on important scientific and clinical developments in food animal and equine veterinary medicine..

Large Animal Veterinary Rounds is derived from recent Rounds presented at the College's Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, and has been designed as an efficient resource for the busy veterinarian. The selection of topics and all editorial content are determined solely by the veterinarian faculty members of the Department.

We also wish to acknowledge the major commitment to unbiased continuing education for the benefit of the veterinary community demonstrated by Schering-Plough Canada Inc., whose financial support in the form of an educational grant makes the publication of Large Animal Veterinary Rounds possible.

Our aim is to assist veterinarians in keeping abreast of the rapidly evolving changes in large animal medicine. We hope that you find this site to be useful to your practice. Please feel free to share your thoughts and comments with us.
